The exact origin of the Rose species (Rosa damascena) is unknown, but some historians trace it back to Damascus, Syria’s ancient capital. Others believe it originally comes from historic Persia (modern-day Iran). In the 1600s, a Turkish merchant is credited with introducing large-scale cultivation of Rosa damascena to Bulgaria, where it still thrives today.

Rose Absolute is produced by using chemical solvents to dissolve the fragrance from the petals. The mixture is then reprocessed to remove the solvents, leaving the ‘absolute’ oil, which is orange-red in colour.

 

 

For external use only. Do not use undiluted on the skin. Avoid contact with sensitive areas, such as eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use Rose Absolute on children under 3 years old.
