Product Details

Mandarin essential oil is sweet, delicate and fresh, with a tangy, bittersweet aroma that softens to sweeter notes as it evaporates. Like an early morning sunrise, it’s light and uplifting, calming the mind, helping to soothe sleepless nights and promoting a sense of ease. Not only is it a great mood booster, but it can also support the immune system when you’re feeling run down.

Emotionally
Mandarin is both soothing and cheering. It helps lift low spirits, spark creativity and make you feel at ease. It’s a great choice if you’re experiencing mental fog or sleeplessness, or are in need of a comforting, sunny boost.

Physically
Mandarin is loved for clarifying oily skin, and it can give you a little lift when you’re feeling run down. It can also support the immune system after a viral infection.

Around the home
Mandarin’s fresh, sweet aroma makes it a beautiful natural cleaner. Simply add 4 drops of essential oil and 2 tablespoons of baking soda to half a litre of water and wipe over kitchen and bathroom surfaces to make your home smell wonderfully fresh.

Mandarin essential oil is sweet and fresh with a tangy citrus aroma.

Aromatically, Mandarin is a top note essential oil. It’s the first oil you will smell in a blend. It blends well with Frankincense, Neroli or Roman Chamomile.

Originally from China, Mandarins are now grown across the globe in hot sunny climates. Their name is believed to have derived from the orange gowns worn by Mandarin dignitaries. Through genetic research, it’s thought that the Mandarin is one of the original citrus fruits, and that most of the citrus family are hybrids of the Mandarin. Like all citrus essential oils, Mandarin essential oil is expressed from the fruit’s peel.

In Northern Europe during the 19th and early 20th centuries, mandarins became closely associated with Christmas, as this is the time they arrived from the sunny orchards of the Southern Mediterranean.
