Essential oil of Oregano (Origanum vulgare) is believed to be extraordinarily powerful! Taken as part of a programme to maintain a healthy balance of intestinal flora, Oregano could help discourage the growth of potentially harmful yeasts, parasites, fungi, unfriendly bacteria and other pathogens. It also supports immune system health - important for balanced intestinal flora too. Oregano may help assist bloating and flatulence by helping to relax the
smooth muscles of the digestive tract and by supporting balanced intestinal flora. It may help the digestion of lipids by assisting bile flow, and support stomach health by discouraging the growth of gastric pathogens.
Oregano contains strong antioxidant activity, scavenging harmful excess free radicals and protecting the lipids in cell membranes against oxidation.
