Bio-Glucan Plus is a combination nutritional supplement. Containing 1,3/1,6 beta glucan, vitamin D and Selenium. Vitamin D and Selenium play an important role in supporting immune function. What does Bio-Glucan Plus do?
The human immune system comprises two parts; the acquired and the innate. 1,3/1,6 beta glucan contained in Bio-Glucan Plus acts as a primer for the innate immune system. This serves as the body’s first line of defence against infectious organisms, while the acquired immunity develops antibodies through immunisation or infection, which is the body's second line of defence. 1,3/1,6 beta glucan provides a stimulus to activate cells of the innate immune system against infectious organisms.

Developed from yeast, Yestimun is a superior source of 1,3/1,6 beta glucan. Bio-Glucan Plus contains Yestimun which provides 85% of purity. The body can recognise the glucan more effectively when it is a higher degree of purification. Glucans from brewer's yeast are obtained from cereals such as oats and wheat. They have a different molecular structure (1,3/1,4 beta glucan) and different actions within the body.
